Gosaikunda is a sacred, high-altitude alpine lake in Nepal’s Langtang National Park, Rasuwa District revered by Hindus and Buddhists, believed to have been created by Lord Shiva and serving as the source of the Trishuli River. Mythology says Shiva created it by thrusting his trident (Trishul) to get water after consuming poison from the cosmic ocean churning (Samudra Manthan). It’s a major pilgrimage site. It is also a popular trekking destination offering stunning Himalayan views, unique local culture, and rich biodiversity, including rhododendron forests and rare wildlife.  Gosaikunda is a significant place of interest on the Dhunche Helambu route trekking route. This trek adjoins the famous Langtang Valley trek in the same district.

We have 5 days and 7 days ternary. For the beginners the longer days you trek, the more you acclimatize though 5 days trek is also moderately accessible for regular fitness.

  • Trail: Part of the Langtang trekking route, offering diverse landscapes from forests to high ridges.
  • Flora & Fauna: Rich in rhododendrons (blooming red in spring), oak, pine, and home to musk deer and red pandas.
  • Scenery: Stunning panoramic Himalayan views (Langtang, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal),
  • Rich Tamang/Sherpa culture, ancient monasteries (Kyanjin Gompa), local cheese factories
  • Pilgrimage and religious significance in month of July/August
