The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is a popular journey into Nepal’s Annapurna region, offering stunning mountains, lush forests, and peaceful villages. No technical climbing is needed, but trekkers should be ready for several hours of walking each day and changing weather.
Starting from Nayapul or Pokhara, the trail passes through villages, terraced fields, rivers, and waterfalls, with teahouses and lodges along the way. As you gain altitude, the landscape becomes rocky and the views of Annapurna and Machapuchare peaks are spectacular.
Reaching Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) is highly rewarding, with breathtaking mountain panoramas and magical sunrises and sunsets. The trek usually takes 7–12 days over about 110 km, best done in autumn or spring.
More than just a trek, ABC is about connecting with nature, experiencing Nepalese culture, and enjoying the serenity of the Himalayas. Every step is challenging but unforgettable.
