Expand AllYour journey to Everest Base Camp begins the moment you land in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal. At the airport, our friendly team will greet you with a warm welcome and transfer you to your hotel, where you can settle in and relax after your flight.
In the evening, you’ll join us for a traditional Nepali welcome dinner. This is a wonderful opportunity to taste authentic local cuisine, meet your guide and fellow trekkers, and start building the team spirit for the adventure ahead. During dinner, your guide will also give a short briefing about the trek, explaining the day-to-day plan, key highlights, and useful tips for the journey into the Himalayas.
This first day is designed to help you feel at ease and fully prepared. While there’s no trekking yet, the excitement begins here—you’re already in Nepal, the gateway to the world’s highest mountains. A good night’s rest in Kathmandu sets the perfect tone for the incredible adventure that starts tomorrow.

Depending on flight schedules, you’ll either drive 5–6 hours from Kathmandu to Manthali for an overnight stay before your Lukla flight, or take a direct 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla.
From Lukla, your trek begins with a gentle 3–4 hour walk through villages, forests, and along the Dudh Koshi River before reaching Phakding, where you’ll spend the night in a cozy tea house.

Start the day with a 20-minute scenic flight from Manthali to Lukla, offering your first glimpse of the towering Himalayas. Landing at Lukla’s famous mountain airstrip is an adventure in itself.
From here, begin your trek on a gentle trail, mostly downhill, passing Sherpa villages, prayer flags, pine forests, and suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. The 8 km walk takes about 3–4 hours before reaching Phakding, a peaceful riverside village where you’ll stay overnight in a cozy tea house. This lower altitude provides the perfect start for acclimatization.
Today’s trek takes about 6–7 hours (10–12 km) as you make your way to the vibrant hub of Namche Bazaar. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing high suspension bridges and passing through villages like Monjo, the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park.
From here, the path gets steeper with a tough but rewarding climb. On clear days, you may even catch your first glimpse of Everest, a moment that inspires every trekker.
At last, you reach Namche Bazaar, a bustling mountain town with tea houses, shops, bakeries, and stunning Himalayan views. Overnight in Namche.
Today is a rest and acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the altitude. Instead of long trekking, you’ll enjoy short hikes (3–4 km) and explore the beauty of Namche and its surroundings.
In the morning, hike to the Everest View Hotel for breathtaking panoramas of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. You can also visit the Sherpa Culture Museum or walk to Khumjung village, known for its monastery and traditional Sherpa lifestyle.
Back in Namche, relax in tea houses, try local food, or unwind at cozy bakeries before spending another night in this lively mountain town.
Today’s trek covers about 9 km in 5–6 hours, passing through pine and rhododendron forests with incredible views of the valleys and mountains. After a short descent to the Dudh Koshi River, the trail climbs steadily past Sherpa villages, prayer flags, and mani walls, offering insight into traditional Himalayan life.
Your destination is the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region. Perched on a hilltop, it offers breathtaking views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and more. The peaceful atmosphere here is perfect for rest, reflection, and photos.

Today’s trek covers about 11 km in 5–6 hours, offering stunning views as you climb higher into the Khumbu region. The trail first descends to the Imja Khola River, then steadily ascends through Sherpa villages adorned with stone houses and prayer flags, showcasing traditional mountain life.
As you approach Dingboche, the scenery shifts from forests to wide open valleys and rocky landscapes, surrounded by towering peaks like Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Island Peak.

Today is a rest and acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the higher altitude. Instead of long trekking, you’ll take short hikes of 3–4 km around the village and nearby hills.
A morning hike to a ridge above Dingboche offers spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and surrounding peaks, while also aiding acclimatization. During the day, you can stroll through the village, see traditional stone houses, prayer flags, and mani walls, and learn about local Sherpa life.
The rest of the day is for relaxing, enjoying warm meals, and conserving energy for the challenging trails ahead. Overnight in a cozy tea house in Dingboche.
Today’s trek covers about 8 km in 5–6 hours, gradually climbing through rocky paths and open valleys with stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse.
The trail follows the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, passing small memorials honoring climbers who attempted Everest. Along the way, you’ll see tea houses, tiny settlements, and grazing yaks, while moving steadily uphill at a comfortable pace.
Arrive in Lobuche, a quiet village surrounded by dramatic peaks. Overnight in a cozy tea house, allowing your body to acclimatize and rest before the final stretch to Everest Base Camp.
Today is a highlight of the trek. Start with a 7 km walk from Lobuche to Gorakshep (3–4 hours) across rocky terrain and glaciers, with stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse.
After a short rest and lunch in Gorakshep, continue 5 km to Everest Base Camp (around 3 hours). The trail crosses moraine and ice paths, passing climbers’ memorials and expedition tents along the way.
Reaching Everest Base Camp is an emotional and proud moment. Take in the breathtaking surroundings, capture memories, and then return to Gorakshep for an overnight stay in a cozy tea house. A challenging but unforgettable day.
Wake up early for a short 3 km climb to Kala Patthar (1.5–2 hours) to witness a breathtaking sunrise over Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and surrounding peaks—a truly unforgettable experience.
After returning to Gorakshep for breakfast and packing, begin the descent to Pheriche (12 km, 5–6 hours). The trail passes rocky valleys, small settlements, and offers views of the Khumbu Glacier and mountains.
Arrive in Pheriche, a peaceful village with tea houses and traditional stone homes, perfect for rest, warm meals, and reflection after your high-altitude adventure.
Begin the descent from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (17 km, 6–7 hours). Walking downhill is easier but requires careful pacing to protect your knees and ankles.
The trail passes small villages, pine forests, and suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, with prayer flags fluttering in the breeze. Enjoy glimpses of Sherpa life, stone houses, and farming traditions along the way, while the surrounding peaks like Ama Dablam and Lhotse continue to impress.
Arrive in Namche Bazaar, a lively mountain town with tea houses, shops, and bakeries—perfect for resting, enjoying warm food, and reflecting on your trek. Overnight in Namche.
Complete the final leg of your trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (20 km, 6–7 hours). The trail mostly descends through forests, rivers, and Sherpa villages, making it a more relaxed walk compared to the uphill days.
Pass through familiar villages like Phakding, cross suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, and enjoy your last views of the mountains, including Nuptse and Ama Dablam.
Arrive in Lukla, a colorful airport town with cozy tea houses, where you can rest, enjoy a warm meal, and reflect on the incredible journey. Today marks the end of your trek, leaving memories of the Himalayas and Sherpa culture that will last a lifetime.
On the final day, take a short 30-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, enjoying breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayas, including the peaks, valleys, and glaciers you trekked past.
After landing, transfer to your hotel for rest and relaxation. You can explore nearby streets, visit local markets, or simply enjoy the comfort of your hotel.
In the evening, join a farewell dinner with your trekking team to share memories and celebrate completing this iconic adventure.
Flying back to Kathmandu marks the end of your Everest Base Camp trek, leaving unforgettable memories of high mountains, Sherpa villages, and the spirit of the Himalayas.
